Cockpit Chronicles: Our easiest trip: the two-day San Juan

One leg down and one leg back the next day. It doesn't get nicer than this!

We came upon a cell that needed to be dealt with (yeah, as in GO AROUND-not vaporize) and yet we still managed to arrive in San Juan 30 minutes early.

It was great to visit with Captain Hank and hang out near the beach in San Juan. Just the ticket for my Paris marathon of trips coming up.

Kent,
Thanks for making those great videos of your airline experiences. I can't get enough of them so please keep making them (Boston to Paris "Vertigo" is outstanding). How is San Juan? I recently had a job offer and one of the duty locations was San Juan. I don't think it would be an option for my family, however, the more I read about it the more I like it.

Keep up all the great reporting. Aviation has always been an obsession of mine. Airline Pilot was top on my list of careers, but got nervous about the training cost when I was younger. Now I'm older and not willing to go through the sacrifice of making $18,000 a year to build hours. For now I'll just enjoy your chronicles and be jealous. I may have a good story to tell from time to time about my job. Until next time, be safe!

Hi 3 Adam.

I'm running into more and more people who are in the same situation as you. Most recently my neighbor. You might be better off, though. It's sure a turbulent industry.

Thanks for chiming in!
